Nick Buckingham
The Tangalle Hospital Renovation
www.tangallehospital.com
Nick Buckingham moved to Sri Lanka a few years ago, semi-retiring from a
successful business he owned in the U.K., and began construction of a small
guest house near Rekwa (the Turtle Beach) just east of Tangalle.  After the
tsunami, Nick began a complete renovation, which is really a reconstruction, of
the Tangalle Hospital.  The facilities were in dire need of
upgrading/updating, and Nick formed a Trust and set to work.  Although
much has been done with donations from all over the world, Nick still needs a
bit to finish.  Please visit his website above for info; I can attest that Nick is a
very good man doing a fantastic job, volunteering more than a year of his life
and more of his personal assets than he would ever admit.

also came to a little clinic at the Camp that MVRF fixed up twice weekly to
check on the tsunami families and administer minor care.
